Hello BioStars,
This is a re-post of previous job ad from the Loraine Lab. Dr. Nowlan Freese has filled this role since Sept. 2014 and has just received some very good news. Thanks to this, we are now looking again for a new postdoctoral fellow to lead our outreach and training efforts for the Integrated Genome Browser project, starting this summer or early September.
Dr. Freese will be available to provide advice and guidance and has laid a great foundation, making this position (we hope!) an even better opportunity than before.

Position Summary
We're looking for a researcher with outstanding communication skills who wants to break into bioinformatics by helping support Integrated Genome Browser, open-source, desktop genome browser. If you know some-one who is an ace communicator and aims for a college-level teaching and/or research position, this could be a excellent opportunity. In the process of developing training materials for IGB and helping IGB users, the right candidate can learn bioinformatics and build an impressive portfolio of publications and teaching materials. The PI (that's me) has much experience writing proposals and is happy to share expertise. If this sounds exciting and interesting, please apply or get in touch if you have questions. We're aiming for a start date in August or early September, but the schedule is flexible.
Thank you!
Ann Loraine
