The Integrative Genomics of Ageing Group is seeking a bioinformatician to employ computational biology approaches to study ageing and longevity. We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious applicant to develop and apply sophisticated data-mining methods and computational models at the interface of biology, mathematics and computer science. Areas of interest include (but are not limited to) systems biology, functional genomics, network analysis, database development and genome evolution.
Candidates should have a degree in computer sciences or biology with bioinformatics experience in a university or within industry. They should have knowledge of functional genomics and experience in scripting. Experience in the analysis of large-scale genome and/or transcriptome data would be a plus.
