Jonathan Pevsner's lab at the Kennedy Krieger Institute (KKI) in Baltimore has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral fellow. KKI is a research institute that is affiliated with the adjacent Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. The fellow will work with a team to analyze RNA-seq data in studies of schizophrenia and to develop a database. Ideally, the applicant should have (1) a Ph.D. in computational biology, molecular biology, or related fields; (2) familiarity with the Linux operating system, and programming skills in R, Python and/or Perl; (3) a publication record in bioinformatics or genomics; and (4) enthusiasm, creativity, and excellent communication skills. Salary is at the level of an NIH postdoc, and the position is for 1-2 years.
