The URL for the Ensemb GRCh37 DAS seems to be returning GRCh38 results. Is the GRCh37 DAS still in existence somewhere?

For example, http://www.ensembl.org/das/Homo_sapiens.GRCh37.reference/sequence?segment=1:100000,110000 gives the same sequence as http://www.ensembl.org/das/Homo_sapiens.GRCh38.reference/sequence?segment=1:100000,110000 - which happens to be the GRCh38 sequence.

In fact, http://www.ensembl.org/das/Homo_sapiens.GRCh1234.reference/sequence?segment=1:100000,110000 will give me the same sequence, too, so whatever "version" is specified just pulls from GRCh38. Is the GRCh37 Ensembl DAS gone forever? I've tried looking around grch37.ensembl.org but the DAS page there just points to www.ensembl.org, and there's no DAS at grch37.ensembl.org/das/

We only host the current version of the database on ensembl.org. If you want to get to the old assembly, you''l have to go to our dedicated site grch37.ensembl.org. So your DAS queries would become http://grch37.ensembl.org/das/Homo_sapiens.GRCh37.reference/sequence?segment=1:100000,110000.

There's a bug that the URL can't recognise the assembly in the URL - we'll look into that.

Hi Emily,

I'm actually using IGB, I added GRCH37 DAS server to IGB with URL: http://grch37.ensembl.org/das/.

But it didn't seem to work anymore. In the Available Data from IGB, there is no annotation downloaded...

Can you tell me the das link is still existed please? Thank you!
