I tried opening the site and got connection refused. This is their publication: http://nar.oxfordjournals.org/content/35/suppl_1/D391.full Anyone know if the site is still maintained?

On a related note, is there another virulence factors database out there for bacteria? I know about the VFDB, but I feel like there should be more than just two.

I realise that this is a very old post - but for anyone who ends up here for the same reason I did (circa April 2018).

It looks like the website for MvirDB has been down for a while. It is listed as deprecated in OMICStools and there is no mention of it, or the associated group, or indeed any bioinformatics resources on the LLNL web page.

If you absolutely must get hold of a copy of MvirDB, it is still possible to do so as of today via the WayBack Machine - there's a snapshot of the site from August 2017 and the download link to the BLAST formatted databases still works.

Yeah, not loading for me either. But contact them. There have been plenty of times I had to tell a provider that their server was down. Could also be just a temporary thing.

You might be able to query IMG for virulence, I don't know. Assuming there is an appropriate GO term.
