I am a first year master student which interest topic in Bioinformatics. Currently, my Professor told me to learn about micro array technology (single chip), mostly about pre-processing method (still not covered the analysis part). So, what I am asking is, is micro array still have some development in pre-processing technique? I mean, there are several pre-processing technique like MAS5, RMA, GCRMA, etc. but when I read the research paper, mostly it is a bit old paper (early 2000). So, I'm wondering whether the pre-processing method is still developed or still become research interest in many bioinformatician. Mostly, the paper I get is about the analysis result using micro array technology, not about the micro array technology itself. Maybe you can give some advice about the recent development in micro array. Thank you for you reply.
