Hi guys,
Is there a way to predict neanderthals genes from the illmunia reads of the geneome presented in the The complete genome sequence of a Neanderthal from the Altai Mountains study?
Basically what I am looking for is a method to predict the actual genes from the short mapped sequences of the neanderthals.
Also is there any public available data for Neanderthals genes to download them or to blast them against other organisms.
Thanks
Yes I checked, but I can only find Homo sapiens genome. I wonder how to download a single Neanderthals gene, e.g CCKAR, because when I go to
http://neandertal.ensemblgenomes.org/Homo_sapiens/Transcript/Sequence_Protein?db=core;g=ENSG00000163394;r=4:26092116-26101140;t=ENST00000295589
To download its "Neanderthals'" protein form, I seem to end up with the 'Homo sapiens" protein only.
