GenomeStrip testinstall error

I'm trying to run GenomeStrip (v1.04.14), but the install tests fail with many errors. The output is this:

Any clue on what I should look into first?

EDIT: Version 2.0 released yesterday doesn't seem to have this issue

Looks like you're running it on a node/computer that does not have access to the Internet. If you're using an HPC, try running it from a login node. You might wanna talk to your sysadmin and check if they have special nodes with Internet access.

Yes, the working nodes have no external connection. It could be difficult to run in a login node. Is internet access really mandatory?

It would seem so. Contact your sysadmin - they usually have a login node configured for long running tasks that need internet connectivity.

Indeed it was the internet connection, running in the login node gave no problems at all. May I ask you what gave you the hint that the problem was the connection? Thanks!
