software to call deletions

I just read a review(http://bib.oxfordjournals.org/content/early/2014/12/12/bib.bbu047.long) published on Briefings in Bioinformatics,which recommends Genome STRiP,Platypus,MATE-CLEVER to call deletions.I have never touched Platypus and MATE-CLEVER.Does anyone know the performance of the two software?Thanks in advance!
