Please can someone provide a protein alignment of wild type haemoglobin beta subunit with the mutant Q6V Haemoglobin and the mutant E121Q haemoglobin
Chocolates will be sent to the lucky person! :D Honestly I would appreciate any help :)
hum, sorry but don't you just have to copy and paste the wild sequence 3 times, and change the AA at position 6 and 121 ?
thanks pierre! but i can't seem to find the sequence :( would you be willing to help? I'll appreciate it so much
hm... well technically the change is from Glutamic acid to Valine to it should be E6V instead of Q6V the other one is ok. so you go to the NCBI : http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/protein/4504349?report=fasta take the sequence, make changes and align. Do you need a quick tutorial on how to do those things? I can see this to be a challenge it you are just starting with bioinformatics.

Hi, I just need help with the same problem. Can you please provide a quick tutorial how to make the protein alignment of the wild type haemoglobin beta subunit with the mutant Q6V Haemoglobin and the mutant E121Q haemoglobin? I would appreciate your help because I am new in bioinformatics.
No chocolate. I knew it was too good to be true (doh) ;)
