Center for Genomics and Systems Biology NYU Abu Dhabi
NYUAD is part of NYU's global network. We invite applications for a Biostatistics research scientist, to be appointed as part of NYUAD's Core Bioinformatics team within the Center for Genomics and Systems Biology (CGSB).
The successful candidate will be expected to consult, collaborate and interact with various groups within NYUAD's multi-disciplinary research environment in areas ranging from Computational Systems Biology & Bioinformatics, Genetic Networks, Chemical Genetic Interactions and Neuronal & Developmental Systems.

Minimum Qualifications:
- PhD. in Bioinformatics, Systems Biology, Biostatistics or MSc degree in these or related fields with a minimum of 3 years experience.
- Working knowledge of data analysis and statistics applied to genomics datasets including RNASeq and genome-scale epigenetic data.
- Experience in differential expression, gene network and pathway enrichment analyses.
- Experience in statistical packages for expression analysis.
- Experience in working with multiple analysis tools for high-throughput datasets.
- Experience in providing experimental project design and analysis consultation.
- The candidate is expected to advise on the initial experimental design (sample size, number of replicates, data collection etc.) and downstream analysis; to be able to select the most appropriate tools for data analysis and visualization; and to contribute to the preparation of manuscripts for publication.
- The candidate will be highly organized with excellent communication skills, able to work independently and as part of a team.
- In addition, the candidate will participate in training seminars and tutorials organized by the Core Bioinformatics team at NYU Abu Dhabi.
