Hi everyone,

I would really appreciated if any one would help me with this. I want to load my data in Excel file into PLINK , I Know I have to converted to other format so that PLINK will be able to read . I tried to save it as txt but it did not seem to work. I'm using Mac osx. Also, If any one can recommend me a good practical guide/tutorial on how to use PLINK , I would really appreciated.

I really apologize for my stupid question but I really need help to start with PLINK.

My goal to create PED.file I followed the instruction on PLINK site. I entered my data(below) in Excel but some reason I'm not able to import the file into PLINK?

How does the text file (first couple of lines!) you saved from Excel look like?

If any one can recommend me a good practical guide/tutorial on how to use PLINK

http://pngu.mgh.harvard.edu/~purcell/plink/ and https://www.cog-genomics.org/plink2/general_usage (the latter to fully exploit the novelties introduced in the new version).
