Regarding your updated question, the most commonly called things are "peaks", e.g., in ChIP-seq. I suppose you could call a methylation state too, but I generally prefer "extract methylation metrics".
"I know it is not commonly used" I'm not sure it is still the case, at least not much less the "genome". There is an Epigenomics journal (IF 5.2) and a fairly large epigenomics road map consortium.
"the genome is stable, but the epigenome is not". Well, if the epigentics landscape is not random but regulated and "functional" I think this objection is questionable.
