Hi,
In some papers I read there more than 100 nsLTP in arabidopsis but when I search in NCBI-GENE I can just see 7 results there for my search. Then how I can retrieve all of these gene?

Not looking for names, simply because there is nor warranty that the genes have been named the way you expect
I would suggest you to use NCBI-Blast for that purpose. That way you will look using gene homology, a very much objective way of looking for genes, if some homology is retained. You must expect that from the LTP's.
You have the chance to select Arabidopsis as the only resource for the searching either before (just indicating Arabidopsis) or after the search is done

Just what IS a gene family anyway?
Sorry what is IS?
Hi, I found this work about nsLtp genes (N=49) in arabidobis. In methods section, they refer to the TAIR arabidopsis genome database (TAIR release 6.0) to search for nsLtp genes annotated as encoding lipid transfer proteins. Not sure if it can be useful.
Thank you I will try
OK thank you
