HI Folks,

I am a beginner learning to use MOTHUR for analysis of my fungal ITS1/2 datasets. I followed MOTHUR MiSeq SOP which relies on bacterial 16S until the step align.seqs. I understand that I need another reference database in this step, may I ask which reference database? And which command should I use in case I can't use align.seqs? I appreciate if you could recommend a step-by-step tutorial regarding Mothur and ITS analysis that I can learn from.

Thank you in advance and have a good day!

HI h.mon,

Thanks for the link. So I guess if I use UNITE for ITS2 I can just use the command classify.seqs?
