Can anyone tell me about AutoFACT tool for COG assignment. I got BLAST Hits and and not able to assign COG families to blast output. Please tell me how to assign COG families.
Have you seen this step-by-step tutorial that they provide? What kind of data do you have? what kind of BLAST output format did you generate? I took a quick look into the tool examples, and it does not seem to be the tabular output as many tools required. The tool seems to be pretty old and it is not on GitHub which is a red flag that is not maintained.
Moreover, I know that MG-RAST automates for you the COG functional analysis for metagenomics datasets.
