I'm giving a presentation on protein fold classification, and I want to include a slide about homology modeling. I've done a Google Images search and found a few graphics that I might be able to use in the presentation, but nothing that says "wow!" to me. What is the best graphic you've seen describing homology modeling?
I would go with a simple analogy than a complex graph. I would be interested to see what you choose as a "wow" graphics.
I don't know that there is a "best" graphic or anything that says "wow" - that's rather subjective. If you want to illustrate the process, choose a flowchart with cartoons at each step; otherwise a simple backbone representation of model superimposed on template. It's easy to get obsessive about these things and lose focus on the presentation :)
