The GenomeDiagram webpage is down.

Although basic usage of GenomeDiagram is covered by the Biopython Tutorial page, I was hoping to get my hands on a copy of the User Manual to try out some of the advanced features. Does anyone have a copy of the GenomeDiagram User Manual?

thanks, zach cp

I see i can get many of the options by browsing the Biopython source code. A manual would be nice , though.

Try asking Leighton (original main author), http://bioinf.scri.ac.uk/lp/ is down but you can contact him via http://www.hutton.ac.uk/staff/leighton-pritchard

Hi Zach,

I've trawled through the archives (my pages were sadly nuked from bioinf.scri.ac.uk, and for some reason weren't restorable), and I've sent an email with the recompiled manual for v0.21. Peter says he'll put a copy up at the Biopython site, so you can probably expect that to happen shortly.

Cheers,

L.

Leighton was able to find an old copy of his manual, and we've put it on the Biopython website here: http://biopython.org/DIST/docs/GenomeDiagram/userguide.pdf

You need to have a look here since it works finely whereas older versions of the manual may not fit biopython well.
