Where can I download exonerate?

The website I bookmarked for Exonerate seems to be down: http://www.ebi.ac.uk/~guy/exonerate/

Does anyone know where I can find the latest version of the program?

This site seems to be a mirror of the original website, but refers the user to the website that no longer exists: http://www.animalgenome.org/bioinfo/resources/manuals/exonerate/

Here is a github repository that claims to be a direct port of the original, but I am unsure whether it is reliable: https://github.com/nathanweeks/exonerate

I normally download exonerate via homebrew (in the science "tap") but since that points to the address above, it no longer works either.

Does anyone have another place to download, or another recommendation?

Lately a lot of people have moved their tools on github. To be on the safe side you should download the stable version instead of development version and you should be fine.

I can report that the download from the github site above did work. On MacOS 10.10.4 this required:

./configure
automake --add-missing
make
make install

You can install it through apt-get in ubuntu:

sudo apt-get install exonerate

I had a similar problem with EMBOSS, in the end I found the original sources on Debian repositories - exonerate is there as well.

If you are unsure about the fork, you can test it against the original in a number of test cases.
