Dear community,

I wish you all enjoy this fantastic new year. I was recently trying out COGsoft (April 2012 release) to identify orthology in a bunch of proteomes. I precisely followed the instructions in the readme file, but when I was running COGlse, it says Can't open input file ./data/tmp/_hash.tmp.

I figure that there is no such thing as tmp/ or _has.tmp throughout the procedures. So not sure why the program is looking for it. I wonder if anyone has met with this too? And how did you solve this? I appreciate any information.

Best regards

I did not use COGlse so far, but using COGcognitor you have to create also an hash file. Maybe looking in the manual at the COGcognitor section could help you.

You just need to make a new directory ./data/tmp/ in your working directory. The readme was a bad walkthrough.
