Sometimes, more than the identified number of genes (approximately 30k) are witnessed in a homo sapien gene expression dataset. I can recollect one with 54k genes in aggregate that was relating to the stromal response to breast and prostate cancer metastasis. Is this condition due to copy number variations? There were also some genes that lacked annotation and hence ontological reference.
