Here is a beginner's introduction to bioinformatics file type formats.

There are a ton of different file types out there which can be overwhelming for someone trying to get into the field. This lesson covers the most commonly used filetypes, and gives users enough information to understand what a filetype is, what type of data it contains, and what software or tools are used with it.
