Hi, everyone,

As my title describes, where to download Arabidopsis gene expression data in batch? I know some sites, for example, eFP browser, AtGenExpress Visualization Tool (AVT), but they only browser one gene each time. I would like to get global gene expression map. Could anyone help? Thank you very much!

Hello biolab,

If you are thinking about array-based gene expression, you could download in batch at Araport. There are at least two ways to do so:

  1. If you don't have a specific experiment in mind, use this pre-defined template (Click Here). You could select the expression values of a list of genes. There are some demo lists available for you to get started. In order to use a costumed list you need to create a list by uploading the gene IDs (AGIs) here. The output of this query result is a interactive table that allows you to filter the experiment type, expression ration, etc.
  2. If you are interested in a particular experiment condition, use this template instead (Click here). There is a drop-down menu allowing you to choose a specific experimental setting as well constrain the expression signal, ratio, and p-value. The result table would display all the genes met the criteria in that experiment.

Keep in mind that you would need to register and log in to permanently save the result. I hope this has addressed your question.

Hi, zoo741,

Your answer is really helpful, and is useful for other Arabidopsis researchers I think. Thanks a lot!
