Find genes correlate with a given gene in gene expression heatmap(data analysis)

I have a gene expression heatmap of more than 3000 genes. I would like to find genes correlate with a given gene, how can I reduce the noise and narrow down the list to find the highly correlated genes?

Software

cluster 3 or hclust in r can be used. Finding your gene of interest, then the most closed ones are highly correlated with it.
