Hi,

When I check the specifically expressed genes across developmental stages, I found that the homologous recombination related proteins were enriched. So I want to know, is there project that resequenced the genome across different developmental stages? It will be interesting to found that the organism have developmental stage specific recombination and gene fusion or structural variation.

Best,
Pengcheng

For which organism and tissue. Gene fusions could certainly be developmental stage specific, as can at least some kinds of recombination (I'm thinking of VDJ recombination, though then the definition of "developmental stage" is being stretched a fair bit).

The following Nature paper might be of interest, in which fetal tissues are sequenced for comparison with adult cell types: http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v518/n7539/full/nature14248.html

I doubt it. I don't think it's currently possible to sequence the genome of a single (multicellular) organism through development since it would most likely die.

very important information. If the samples don't extracted from the same individual, the variation may be caused by the individual differences.
