For transposon mapping, how important is sequence length? Is Illumina 75x2 PE sufficient versus the 150x2 expense?

We have a couple of 75x2 kits available for our new NextSeq and we're looking at a transposon analysis (not something I've looked into before).

Is this sufficient for such an analysis? I would imagine that longer read lengths would provide better coverage of the intersections and thus be better suited, but are there diminishing rewards, and the extra expense is not worthwhile?
