Hello,

I have a result of DESeq2 analysis of RNA-seq sample. In that result, it is mentioned about the baseMean and I think that baseMean is the mean of negative binomial distribution which is the distribution used by DESeq2. My question is, how to generate a sample following the distribution like used in DEseq2 with given mean from DESeq2? I don't know about the variation of the distribution though because it seems there are no variation variable there. Thank you.

So your goal is: given the results of a DESeq2 analysis, generate simulated sequence data which could have generated the given DESeq2 result?
