Hello experts can share your knowledge While analyzing the deferentially expressed genes some paper they have analyzed up or down regulated genes separately. Is it possible to analyze up/down both at a time? I want to analyze only down regulated genes by using meta analysis,( Micro-array) pl share what are all thing can i explore while analyzing the down regulated genes! ( Ex:Viral data sets) waiting for your valuable comments Regards Mathavan M

Hi Mathavan, I don't exactly understand how this question is different from your previous question. Could you explain please?

My previous questions is what is differential gene expression and reliability! But this question talks about how to analyze the deferentially expressed gene.( I want to focus on virus specific mechanism to human host)

Side note: Genes are differentially expressed. Deferential = respectful. Transcription factors don't have personalities :)

Reference game so strong it doesn't need promoters or enhancers. #biostarsIsNowReddit

You are free to analyze any genes and gene sets you choose, based on whatever filtering criteria, as long as they conform with the experimental question and everything makes sense. This might sound trivial, but we don't know what kind of analysis you are planning, nor did you tell us the biological question behind your approach. Therefore, we cannot say more until you give us more details.
