These are absolutely free, as far as I know. You only have to pay, if you want to earn a certification.

On the right side of the page, you could see the session. You should select the session. If you select the previous sessions, you could see the videos of previous lectures.

This list above is great- I'll just add that the Bioconductor Project (an ecosystem of ~1000 packages for bioinformatics in R) has produced a series of very useful tutorial videos on youtube.

Bioconductor's youtube page is here; their introductory video is here, which is a nice starting point for beginners.

Although this is not hard-core Bioinformatics tutorials, Rosalind is a great site to teach noobs like me the basics of bioinformatics.

There is a tree of bioinformatic problems that you have to solve using Python, each with explanations, test datasets etc.

And when you complete an assignment it unlocks harder problems.

Not specifically for bioinformatics, but the software carpentry courses should be on the list. They are particularly useful for wet-lab people who started or is starting to analyse data and need to learn bash, python, and specially good software design practices. Also the courses are free as in beer and free as in speech.

I could not find the train online platform from the EMBL-EBI in your list. We've got loads of courses in there, some conceptual others with hands-on and use case scenarios, and also webinars. From 'DNA & RNA' to 'Chemical biology'. More adding to the current list as we speak!

It seems that some of the courses in the provided link are not FREE! These days people can find very many quality options from best universities all over the world for FREE.

I don't see a problem about those courses not being free. It is true that there are some free courses, but I disagree that many quality _presential_ courses are free. People may also choose to pay for a course which is closer to home, instead to flying to a "free" course. If the courses listed are not clearly marked as fee-paying that you are absolutely right to complain, otherwise let those who want (and can) pay.

I did not read that your post was just referring to free courses. Sorry for that. Instead about the quality of free vs. not free courses I totally agree with A. Domingues. Best.
