Hi guys,

I am starting to use Platanus and it gives me this error

K = 16, saving kmers from reads... Error(5): Kmer distribution exception!! Kmer distribution cannot be caluculated proper.

Does anybody know what would it mean?

Best regards,

Carlos

Never used platanus but does the even kmer value causing the problem i.e. did you check with an odd kmer(k=17)?

I guess this may be related to GCC. In my assembly, it reported this error in GCC4.47, but well run in GCC4.7, howerver, without the contig file. finally, I test it using a small data set, it runs without any problem. In conclusion, I did not finish my assmebly using this software.
