How could one use sequencing data ( in particular - whole genome sequencing data) to determine tissue of origin of cancer’?

Can any one share their ideas on the above question.

I could find out few papers such as Tumour tracer method and few regression algorithms.

At a higher level can pathway analysis can be done to estimate primary site of any cancer cell??

You'd probably have better luck with using gene expression data. Nothing about somatic mutations is inherently tied to particular tissues, unless it's something like a metastasized melanoma (where the UV light mutation signature might suggest something about the origin)

Thank you chris for swift response . Is it possible computationally to determine origin of cancer cells using gene expression data??

If so can you please summarise
