Who Wants To Share Bookmarks Between Bioinformaticians

In my virtual open space I think that Biostar is the right place to provide or get help to any Bioinformatics issues.

I also think that Delicious is the right virtual Cafeteria where I can be aware of interesting information related to Bioinformatics through other bioinformaticians' bookmarks stored in delicious.

So, if you want to share your Bioinformatics bookmarks, please feel free to past your Delicious url. Below is mine.

Cannot say I particularly like this question... this is not quite the format... had a quick look at yahoo pipes, but cannot find an easy way to extract all URLs from this pages feed, and extract all delicious accounts :(

So who wants to curate this and derive a set of maximally useful and most-bookmarked links?

I bookmark all manner of items at delicious. You might just want the relevant tags, such as "bioinformatics" :-)

It's also worth using the network features there to follow people with similar collections.

Yes I forgot to tell about the network feature. By the way you can even group people of your network by topics with the bundle feature.

I will try to do a dedicated section in Bioinformatics.fr in order to join the bookmarks with the delicious API

I really think FOAF is the platform to use for this, and briefly had a go at Yahoo Pipes to extract the Delicious URLs accounts from this question's RSS feed, but with no luck.

Here are my details:

Youll soon see that my bioinformatics works is oriented as metabolites.

I'm wondering if we can focus this thread in a way that can have a long term payoff. I'd like to ask:

What are the best practices and platforms for social bookmarking in bioinformatics for social bookmarking to become maximally useful?

We've already seen recommendations for Delicious and FriendFeed. What is it that makes these platforms attractive?

One approach, taken by the International Society for Biocuration (ISB) is to encourage their community to use particular tags (biocuration, text mining, and semantic annotation) on a particular platform (Connotea). See http://biocurator.org/publications.shtml

I tweet a lot about bioinformatics/Genomics.

Yet to use a bookmark service, I will see what BioStar members are using via this question and set up an account soon.
