What is the correct way to cite a technology like ABI Solid Sequencing?

Most of the papers just write SOLiD; Applied Biosystems or ABI SOLiD(Life Technologies). Is this sufficient for a proper citation of a technology, if the company has never written a paper about it (or maybe they have a tech note somewhere)?

You may need to cite multiple publications as done in this paper (search for the SOLiD reference: http://genome.cshlp.org/content/18/7/1051.full ).

Agree with multiple citations, though some of them are historic.

Also there is this link with an application note, a brochure and a poster. Not sure how stable this link is. Unfortunately the poster has no reference as to where it was presented but it does have details about SOLiD technology.
