Dear All

I am a newcomer to the site. At the moment, I have a bed graph file which I can view in Integrated Genome Viewer. The graphical visualisation is Heatmap. The windowing function of the tracks returns the heights of the bars in heatmap. When you point on a bar in Heatmap, a window pops up showing the height of the bar. Since I have 160 genes with several bars on them. The aim: to read the heights of all bars into an excel file for further statistical analysis. What I tried: 1) to see all available manuals on Integrated Genome Viewer online 2)to apply IGVtools scripts: have found no function to suit my needs.

The question: How to export numerical information from a bedgraph file into an excel file or txt.

Thanks a lot for your possible help, Rauan.

Do you already have the bedgraph file?

The bedgraph file itself has 4 columns - Chr, start, stop, value.

So, the answer was simple. Just open the bedgraph file by a text editor and copy paste it to excel.
