is there anyway to check for specific genes or a gene to know if it is secreted or not ?

Not the genes but their protein products :-)
Last I remember presence of a signal peptide was one indication of a protein being designated for secretion.

@genomax2 I know few database for proteins.

And they may not have the specific information you are looking for. Look for databases of secreted proteins (e.g. http://www.bmicc.org/web/english/search/spd ) like this one for human/mouse/rat. Depending on what organism you are working with your experience will vary.

You may want to use Gene Ontology (GO) and focus on GO terms associated with secretion e.g. GO:0030670. If you are after all genes (and proteins) where the GO term got associated with you can use biomaRt to get that list.
