I am trying to run idba_ud but found it responded strangely. Here is my command line

$ bin/idba_ud -r read.fa -o output_dir

but it finished almost instantly with this message. There is no assembly files in the output dir.

Anyone knows what is going on?

There is a typo in this command, there should not be any white spaces between - and o. -r parameter should be specified before input filename in fasta format.

Thanks. They are just the typos when I wrote this question here. I corrected them here. But still it gave the same problem

Did you try to specify --mink --max parameters?
