Hello all, I need understanding of CalculateGenotypePosteriors walker in GATK. Why we calculate this? What will be its significance?

This is to improve genotyping using prior knowledge from known SNP datasets or family relations between the samples in study. If a good quality SNP dataset is available or the family relation between the samples in known, this procedure improves the quality of genotyping.
