can i judge inconsistent node by branch length?

Greeting all,

This is a question about the phylogenetic reconstruction.

A tree with the branch length is built, while the information of sequence isn't retained.

Can i specify the inconsistent node, just because it connects the descending clade with a very short branch?

Is there any theory about this?

I've seen the related discussion, but I don't find it now.
