I can find this description online: QNAME: Query template NAME. Reads/segments having identical QNAME are regarded to come from the same template. A QNAME ‘*’ indicates the information is unavailable. In a SAM file, a read may occupy multiple alignment lines, when its alignment is chimeric or when multiple mappings are given.

The qname example is: M04402:7:000000000-ANGUV:1:2103:23029:8212

This is from a Miseq run, so what is the meaning of these number?

Thanks!!

If you are only interested in the meaning of that header (referred to as qname in SAM format) then check this link.
