Dates: Nov 30 - Dec 2, 2016 (Hackathon/Curation starts Dec. 1st) Location: Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI), Amsterdam
CIViC is an open access, open source, community-driven web resource for Clinical Interpretation of Variants in Cancer. The primary objective of CIViC is to enable precision medicine in a research setting by providing a forum for the dissemination of knowledge, and facilitating active discussion regarding the clinical significance of cancer genome alterations.
Following the "NGS in Molecular Pathology" Symposium held in Amsterdam, NL, a hackathon and curation event will be held from Dec. 1st - Dec. 2nd 2016. This event, will focus on enhancing the CIViC resource for the benefit of the community by incorporating additional features into CIViC and expanding the CIViC database. It will be co-hosted by the Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI) and The McDonnell Genome Institute at Washington University School of Medicine.
