Hello,
I have some IDs for lincRNA. The IDs are as such - TCONS_00028360, TCONS_00022572 etc. I need the ensembl gene IDs (like - ENSGxxxxxxxxxx) of the associated lincRNAs. How can I convert these TCONSxxxxxxxxxxx IDs to ENSGxxxxxxxxxxxxx ID?
Thank you.
If you have a document which has both TCONS IDs and corresponding gene IDs in one file, such as
merged.gtf
, you can do it programmatically. TCONS IDs are temporary and specific to the Run whereas ensembl IDs are universal.Where can I find a file that contains TCON ids as well as ensemble ids and genesymbol? I'm not having much luck finding it on UCSC or ensemble.
andezapico,
TCONS ids are not universal. They are generated per experiment. You need to have the raw results.
