This is a very general question.
The answer depends upon kind of receptors, upon host organism, upon cause of infection. For example, was is virus or bacterium? Or something else?
There were many biostars.org-posts :
Human cell-surface protein databases or prediction algorithms
Database of Ligand and receptor genes
T Cell Receptor Sequencing total reads/clone count vs unique clones
How Can I Find List Of All Responsive Genes Of Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor?
Meta-analysis to identify potential receptors that could facilitate virus invasion.

There is WIKI-site with additional urls at the bottom, but there are definitely much more examples.

Thank you for the links. Human cell surface receptors in the respiratory system (mostly basal cells or airway epithelium) is actually what I was looking for. I started with viruses. I will check the links.
Thanks for this list of resources!
