(Here is the result of a ChIP-Seq of the factor Ste12 on a yeast chromosome)
This is a bonus question in a university homework I am trying to figure out:
We have to explain why the signal of Ste12 is that high on the locus of chrXII:451,512-469,354 coding for ribosomal RNA while we are 100% sure that Ste12 is not more enriched in that region than 10kb in front of the locus.
So far my guess is that it is probably something about the specificity of the antibody used.
