G/Day,

I'm new in bioinformatics. I have been learning UPARSE through its tutorials. I'm using Cygwin and had installed the necessary packages (Curl). When using the HMP tutorial. I'm stuck at the "create utax database".

When i try to ran the command as displayed. An error message : -bash: cd: /home/ówner/tutorials/hmptut/scripts./setup_utax.bash: No such file or directory . I have checked that, the .bash scripts is in the directory. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

Regards, G.

Have you checked the directory exists:

/home/ówner/tutorials/hmptut/scripts./

You have a dot after scripts - is that supposed to be there?

You can cd into a directory, but not into a file. Presumably you meant cd /home/ówner/tutorials/hmptut/scripts and then ./setup_utax.bash as separate commands.
