Looking for a bioinformatics/biology graduate who has experience of working with GEO data sets for gene expression and knows how to do this in R using tools such as Bioconductor.
Specifically this job includes:
- how to organise/conform data to be used in R
- how to exercise quality control on data set for inclusion in meta analysis
- how to analyse data for comparison (p-values etc)
- how to graphically organise combined data sets
This will be a one-day one-to-one teaching job of 7 hours paying £100. Tea and Lunch included.
Location: London.
Many thanks.
Gene expression and GWAS are two very different types of analyses.
Are the teaching materials already made up, or does the person doing the day's teaching have to produce them as well?
Yes, it will be going through data sets that I already have and what to do with them as outlined in original post.
You probably should mention if travel costs etc are also covered.
Who will the audience be? Students? Researchers?
Hey Chris, This is a private lesson for a student.
that's a lot of ground to cover in 7 hours, could you elaborate on your previous training in R please
Hey Russhh, It's actually very specific to Bioconductor and gene expression. I've listed the specifics in the job posts and don't think it would take longer than specified. I'm not asking for someone to start from scratch but rather answer specific questions. To do so, the person would need to have run gene expression data sets through R using Bioconductor before. R level is basic.
