I have a lineages.csv file which I downloaded from https://github.com/zyxue/ncbitax2lin mentioned in one of the posts where they were trying to map the species back to kingdom(lineage). That csv file was created using the names.dmp as reference. I used that csv file as a lookup table to get the lineage of list of TaxaIDs I have, my output file doesn't have all the taxaIDs when mapped. I think the csv file is missing few TaxaIDs in them. I extracted the ones which didn't show up in my output file and uploaded it on NCBI Taxonomy online website, the TaxaIDs were mapped to primary taxaID. I'm wondering if there's an updated lookup table which I can use or how do I fix the problem of missing lineage for few TaxaIDs which actually linked to another primary taxaID. I'm trying to find the post where I got the lineages.csv file but couldn't find it. So had to post it up. Thanks and Sorry.
