Hi All,

Does anyone know what is the range of industrial salary one could expect for a Ph.D bioinformatician in Singapore ? If you also know what % of hike one should expect with 1-2 year experience on the same field ?

General employment information about Singapore is also welcome (Like incentives, holidays, bonus etc )

Thanks in advance,

Rm 8.3k

One of my bioinformatics junior friend was working in NUS or NTU as postdoc equivalent job: He used to earn around 5000 singapore dollars/month.

I was not in industry so I can't comment on the salary range (I was a post-doc in academia). I had 21 days of leave per year, "13th month salary" (an extra salary in December) as I guess is standard in Singapore, and a variable bonus in April/May which depended on both your achievements during the past year and the general financial situation of the institute. I heard that the salaries in industry were "really good" but I honestly don't know what that means :-)

Edit: there was also health insurance plus some dental included.

I hesitate to look for a job in Singapore; as I heard that life out there is expensive.

Do you have more information about the salary nowadays ?
