I want to create a circos plot where I can show orthologs of wheat in four other plants. something like this- http://www.nature.com/articles/srep32641/figures/3 its been two days since i am trying to do that and now my supervisor is really getting mad at me. i've never used circos or anything like this before and also don't know much about programming. after doing google searches for two days i've not achieved any success. i found orthologs using blast and saved the results in tabular form in a .txt file. the results look like this when opened in excel:

Traes_2AL_63DF92901.1 Chr09 Bstacei 82.5 663 92 6 1 657 9679239 9679883 0 668
Traes_3AS_E61ACD8BF.1 Chr03 Sbicolor 88.89 387 31 4 205 585 7041877 7042257 4.00E-138 497

Traes_4AS_749EC4A61.1 Chr02 Bstacei 92.78 471 34 0 1 471 7797893 7798363 0 697
Traes_4AS_243421FB8.1 Chr3 Osativa 89.87 464 44 1 1 464 8834377 8833917 3.00E-176 623

can someone please tell me how do i proceed with this? how do i make karyotype, conf. etc. files from this. i just want to make a plot as shown in the link above. i also tried circoletto which directly takes blast result(in pairwise format) as input but my file size is more than 20MB and it just does not accept it.

please help, thank you

So, I guess you already did it since it's days you're trying, but for example for me this worked out fine:

http://circos.ca/documentation/tutorials/quick_start/hello_world/

Obviously, I had to do also the other tutorials to grasp the idea of how it works. However, since I didn't do all the steps, I can't really help you but giving you this link. Good luck!
