Hi,

I am doing my research my research on Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Can I use ACT (Artemis Comparison Tool) from the Sanger institute for comparative analysis of eight Mycobacterial strain.

ACT is interesting to highlight similar and different regions between genomes. Also, it depend on what you are looking for and what are the data you are working on For whole genome comparison, I would recommend MUMmer and Mauve. mVista is also an option for pairwise genome comparison.

Also try EDGAR for whole genome comparisons.
