Hi, I'm using MaSuRCA with a single .fastq file as PE input, and 5-consensus directory isn't made during the run time so of course it doesn't have access to it. can you tell me what is the cause of this? thanks.

Here is the error

recomputing A-stat for super-reads
Fixing unitig consensus...
ls: cannot access '../5-consensus/genome_*.err': No such file or directory
ls: cannot access '../5-consensus/genome_*.success': No such file or directory

That statement does not make sense. By definition paied-end (PE) data will have two fastq files. Is MaSuRCA supported for SE data?

Oh, you are right, I miss read the instructions and I thought I could also use single reads with PE. But again, I run MaSuRCA with two .fastq files and still the same error

Are those two files from paired-end (PE) sequencing of the same sample? You can't use two unrelated fastq files.

yes of course, they are not irrelevant.
